About Oro House Recovery Centers – Zuma Beach House
The Zuma Beach House of Oro House Recovery Centers is a luxury premier addiction treatment facility in Malibu, California. The center is accredited by The Joint Commission and licensed by the California Department of Health Care Services. They are also LegitScript certified and was named by Newsweek as one of the 2024 best addiction treatment centers in America.
I like that the house provides you with panoramic views of the ocean and the channel islands. You’ll also be able to enjoy the nightly sunset views. What also stood out to me is that all the bedrooms are large and private. You will not need to share your room with anyone. They have a contemporary kitchen where a chef will prepare healthy and nutritious meals for you. There are multiple sitting areas, a pool where you can swim or do yoga, a spa, and fireplace.
Their detox program is medically supervised round the clock. The nursing staff and incidental medical services will ensure your needs are met effectively and quickly. They don’t offer 12 Step, but their incidental medical services will provide you with medical oversight to address any medical issues that are associated with detox and substance use disorder treatment.
Holistic based treatment and evidence based therapies are used. You will see some of these on your customized treatment plan. To support your mental healing, you’ll attend individual and group therapy. To help strengthen your body, you will be able to engage in physical activities such as surfing and hiking. They also offer dual diagnosis treatment to address co-occurring mental health issues.
With substance use, your body becomes depleted of nutrition. During your time in treatment, you’ll be able to receive vitamin IV therapy. These vitamin supplements will help improve your healing as your body receives much needed vitamins and hydration.
They also offer neurofeedback therapy. This form of helping is used to help train you to gain control of your thought patterns. It will help retrain your brain to identify common triggers that are caused by mental disorders and addiction. You may also see other forms of therapy on your plan such as motivational enhancement therapy, somatic experiencing, and an equine ride program.
Levels of Care
-
Inpatient
Inpatient and residential programs provide round-the-clock medical and emotional support as you live at the treatment facility. This level of care may be recommended if you have severe addictions or mental health conditions since it removes outside distractions and allows you to focus solely on therapy.
-
Outpatient
In outpatient therapy, you’ll attend therapy sessions several times each week while living at home. This is ideal if you have a strong support system and a lower risk of relapse. Outpatient treatment offers flexibility to maintain work, school or family obligations.
-
Aftercare
Aftercare programs provide ongoing support after you complete a rehab program. They may include several components to help you maintain sobriety including therapy, community support groups and relapse prevention strategies. This gives you a network of resources as you reintegrate into your daily life.
-
Dual Diagnosis
Dual diagnosis programs address substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions simultaneously. This integrated approach to care improves the likelihood of long term recovery and stability by addressing the root causes of addiction.
-
Intervention
An intervention is a structured and professionally guided conversation with an individual who is struggling with addiction. During the conversation, family and friends will encourage you to seek treatment. This is often a pivotal step for those resistant to getting help.

-
Inpatient Detox
Inpatient detox occurs in a dedicated treatment facility. You’ll live there around the clock and receive intensive medical support and supervision to help manage your withdrawal symptoms. It is suitable for individuals with moderate to severe addictions as it ensures a stable detox environment.
-
Outpatient Detox
Outpatient detox gives you access to medically supervised withdrawal services while still allowing you to live at home. You’ll attend a clinic for treatment and monitoring. This flexible option is suitable for those with mild to moderate withdrawal symptoms who have strong support systems.
