About Arbour Counseling Services Norwell
Intensive outpatient programs (IOP), medication assisted treatment (MAT), and assessments are part of Arbour Counseling Services’ extensive continuum of care. They’re designed to assist people with substance use disorders in suburban, middle-class Norwell, Massachusetts. Those who are struggling with opioid or alcohol dependency are the target audience for their outpatient programs which use Vivitrol (naltrexone) and Suboxone (buprenorphine).
Individual therapy, group therapy, medication management and referrals to community resources based on individual needs are among the services that participants in the Suboxone and Vivitrol programs can anticipate. For both stabilization and maintenance, the programs follow stringent guidelines.
Stabilization entails no withdrawal symptoms, few side effects, and controlled cravings. Maintenance entails stopping the use of alcohol or illegal opioids for two to eight weeks. During the maintenance phase, clients can start a tapering schedule which is decided in consultation with their program physician. Before beginning tapering, it’s crucial to assess a number of factors including income, stable housing, psychosocial support and any legal concerns. Should the client experience cravings, withdrawal symptoms or concerns about relapsing the tapering process may be modified or stopped.
Newly sober individuals are served by their intensive outpatient program and structured outpatient addiction program. The services provided include case management, counseling and support aimed at promoting physical and mental well-being as well as reintegrating into society and maintaining recovery.
The duration of this program is tailored to each patient’s goals and lasts for four to six weeks. Therapy sessions, biopsychosocial assessments, family education, cooperation with other treatment specialists and relapse prevention education are all important program elements. Peers dealing with similar addiction issues can connect through group therapy which covers subjects like life skills, stress management and self esteem.
I like how their Massachusetts impaired driving program is available to individuals who need to undergo classes for driving under the influence. Increased self awareness, constructive behavioral changes and a decreased chance of reoffending are the goals of this 16-week program. They don’t want you to just get off drugs, but rather improve your overall health and make positive lifestyle changes.

Outpatient Detox
Outpatient detox gives you access to medically supervised withdrawal services while still allowing you to live at home. You’ll attend a clinic for treatment and monitoring. This flexible option is suitable for those with mild to moderate withdrawal symptoms who have strong support systems.

Medication assisted treatment combines medication and counseling to manage withdrawal and reduce cravings for opioid and alcohol addiction. Medications may include methadone, buprenorphine or naltrexone. MAT is tailored to your needs so you can actively participate in your treatment journey.
