About Aroostook Mental Health Services, Inc. (AMHC)
Houlton Outpatient, operated by Aroostook Mental Health Services, is a facility that treats individuals struggling with addiction. Two primary services offered are Medication for Opioid Use Disorder and Opioid Health Home. It’s out in Houlton, Maine.
A Whole Patient Approach to Healing
The Medication for Opioid Use Disorder service offers clients a combination of counseling and medication to treat substance use disorder. The medication will be used to minimize withdrawal symptoms such as headaches and anxiety. When you participate in counseling, you’ll learn to develop coping skills that will help you avoid using substances in the future.
Office Based Treatment for Your Convenience
The Opioid Health Homes service offered by the Houlton Outpatient Clinic provides office based medication assisted treatment (MAT). Rather than frequently going to a clinic to have your meds administered, you can have it prescribed to you.
It’ll allow you more time to take care of your daily responsibilities and also practice enjoying sober activities in Houlton. A nice place near the facility to visit is Houlton Riverfront Park. It features a wooden bridge and various areas you can walk near the river.
