About Aurora Behavioral Health Center
Aurora Behavioral Health Center is an outpatient facility that provides substance use disorder treatment for adults and adolescents. When you enroll, you can sign up for either intensive outpatient (IOP) and partial hospitalization (PHP) programs. Individuals who are in need of detox services can be referred to the Aurora Medical Center.
Detox Services for Various Substances
The staff can help individuals detox from substances such as benzodiazepines, alcohol, and opiates. You may be administered medications such as Suboxone or buprenorphine to help reduce your withdrawal symptoms and cravings. The facility will strive to make sure you’re as comfortable as possible.
Ongoing Recovery Through Outpatient Care
When you’ve completed detox, you can continue your treatment through the outpatient services offered at Aurora Behavioral Health Center. You’ll participate in group and individual therapy sessions where you’ll learn about stress management techniques and build social support for recovery.
One way you can manage your stress and avoid using substances is to visit various nature areas in Sheboygan. Some options you can check out in between treatment sessions include Maywood, Bookworm Gardens, and Kohler Andrae State Park.

Levels of Care

Inpatient
Inpatient and residential programs provide round-the-clock medical and emotional support as you live at the treatment facility. This level of care may be recommended if you have severe addictions or mental health conditions since it removes outside distractions and allows you to focus solely on therapy.
-
Outpatient
In outpatient therapy, you’ll attend therapy sessions several times each week while living at home. This is ideal if you have a strong support system and a lower risk of relapse. Outpatient treatment offers flexibility to maintain work, school or family obligations.
Detox Service Setting
-
Hospital Detox
Hospital detoxification allows you to withdraw from drugs or alcohol in a hospital setting. It’s ideal for people with severe withdrawal symptoms or complex medical needs. You’ll receive constant monitoring, emergency care if needed and FDA approved prescription medications.
