About Behavioral Health at Tamarack Health Asland Medical Center
Located in Ashland, Wisconsin, Tamarack Health Ashland Medical Center provides behavioral health services to treat individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. Clients can start the road to recovery by undergoing chemical detoxification at the acute care facility that has 10 beds.
Medical Detoxification Away from Dependencies
The staff is trained to help clients detox from different substances such as prescription drugs, illicit drugs, alcohol and stimulants. Medication may be provided to help with managing symptoms of withdrawal, such as muscle aches and anxiety.
While you’re at the facility, you’ll also receive intensive therapeutic intervention to transition from inpatient treatment. Your counselor will work with you to address any emotional difficulties that contribute to your addiction and interfere with living the life you want to live.

Detox Service Setting

Outpatient Detox
Outpatient detox gives you access to medically supervised withdrawal services while still allowing you to live at home. You’ll attend a clinic for treatment and monitoring. This flexible option is suitable for those with mild to moderate withdrawal symptoms who have strong support systems.

MAT
Medication assisted treatment combines medication and counseling to manage withdrawal and reduce cravings for opioid and alcohol addiction. Medications may include methadone, buprenorphine or naltrexone. MAT is tailored to your needs so you can actively participate in your treatment journey.

Adult programs address the substance use and life challenges specific to adults. Therapists can deliver sessions in individual, group and family settings. Services often include job support and life skills training in a structured environment.
