About BH Health Services Inc
BH Health Services is in Westminster, Maryland, and provides medication assisted treatment (MAT) services and an intensive outpatient program (IOP). They’re open every day of the week except for Saturdays. It’s close to the Carroll Indoor Sports Center.
They accept multiple insurance plans including Medicaid, Amerigroup, United Behavioral Health and more. There is also a weekly cash pay option.
Getting Started With MAT in Westminster
The MAT services at BH Health use methadone. There are multiple phases of MAT at this clinic. You’ll start with stabilization, where you’ll complete a variety of assessments. The professional staff will work with you to create a treatment plan that meets your needs.
Next, you’ll commit to recovery and start with individual and group counseling. This’ll help you develop life skills for independent and productive living, and you’ll also discover the roots of addiction and address them.
Once you have established yourself in your new mindsets and skills, you’ll be ready to make a decision about whether you want to taper off methadone or stay on a stable dose indefinitely.
Additional Services for Those in Recovery
Along with MAT and counseling, BH Health offers case management and referrals. They can connect you with aftercare support such as 12 Step programs, community resources, and social services.
If you need help with housing, employment support or other specific services, your case manager can ensure you get the help you need.

Levels of Care
-
Outpatient
In outpatient therapy, you’ll attend therapy sessions several times each week while living at home. This is ideal if you have a strong support system and a lower risk of relapse. Outpatient treatment offers flexibility to maintain work, school or family obligations.
-
Aftercare
Aftercare programs provide ongoing support after you complete a rehab program. They may include several components to help you maintain sobriety including therapy, community support groups and relapse prevention strategies. This gives you a network of resources as you reintegrate into your daily life.
Detox Service Setting
-
MAT
Medication assisted treatment combines medication and counseling to manage withdrawal and reduce cravings for opioid and alcohol addiction. Medications may include methadone, buprenorphine or naltrexone. MAT is tailored to your needs so you can actively participate in your treatment journey.
-
Outpatient Detox
Outpatient detox gives you access to medically supervised withdrawal services while still allowing you to live at home. You’ll attend a clinic for treatment and monitoring. This flexible option is suitable for those with mild to moderate withdrawal symptoms who have strong support systems.
