About Bradford Health Services
Bradford at Madison, Alabama, is a residential rehab facility that offers proven alcohol and drug addiction treatment. They treat adults and young adults struggling with all manner of substance use issues, offering a full continuum of care from detox and residential rehab right through to outpatient services. Bradford at Madison is in network with most insurance providers including Blue Cross, TRICARE, and Veterans Community Care programs.
Clients can begin their recovery journey at Bradford in the medically monitored detox program. Carried out in a modern and comfortable facility, clients undergo a comprehensive clinical and medical evaluation to determine a personalized detox plan that will help them wean off illicit drugs in a safe and controlled way. Clinically-proven medications are used to minimize cravings and reduce withdrawal symptoms. Once clients are physically and mentally stabilized, they can transition seamlessly into the residential program.
In the residential program, clients receive custom treatment plans which include group and individual therapy, medication assisted treatment, community support groups, and mindfulness, wellness, and recreational activities. Following residential treatment clients continue to receive support and treatment in one of Bradford’s outpatient programs via the alumni and aftercare programs.
In all levels of treatment, Bradford uses evidence-based therapeutic approaches to help clients understand the issues and triggers that drive their substance use. These include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), 12 Step principles, motivational interviewing (MI), and acceptance and integration therapy.
I really like their program for active duty personnel and veterans. The Hero’s Path allows veterans to address PTSD, coordinate their care with the VA, and heal physically and spiritually. Plus, the surrounding semi-rural environment, courtyard, and gardens can provide a calming and serene effect. And don’t forget the nutritional and bountiful meals served throughout the day.

Levels of Care
-
Inpatient
Inpatient and residential programs provide round-the-clock medical and emotional support as you live at the treatment facility. This level of care may be recommended if you have severe addictions or mental health conditions since it removes outside distractions and allows you to focus solely on therapy.
-
Outpatient
In outpatient therapy, you’ll attend therapy sessions several times each week while living at home. This is ideal if you have a strong support system and a lower risk of relapse. Outpatient treatment offers flexibility to maintain work, school or family obligations.
-
PHP
Partial hospitalization programs provide comprehensive treatment in a structured setting during the day but allow you to return home at night. These programs offer a balance of inpatient and outpatient rehab and provide intensive support without full time residency.
Detox Service Setting
-
Inpatient Detox
Inpatient detox occurs in a dedicated treatment facility. You’ll live there around the clock and receive intensive medical support and supervision to help manage your withdrawal symptoms. It is suitable for individuals with moderate to severe addictions as it ensures a stable detox environment.
-
Outpatient Detox
Outpatient detox gives you access to medically supervised withdrawal services while still allowing you to live at home. You’ll attend a clinic for treatment and monitoring. This flexible option is suitable for those with mild to moderate withdrawal symptoms who have strong support systems.
-
MAT
Medication assisted treatment combines medication and counseling to manage withdrawal and reduce cravings for opioid and alcohol addiction. Medications may include methadone, buprenorphine or naltrexone. MAT is tailored to your needs so you can actively participate in your treatment journey.
