About BrightView Chesapeake
The Brightview Chesapeake Addiction Treatment Center provides outpatient substance use services to adults in Chesapeake, Virginia. Roosevelt Memorial Park isn’t too far away. The organization is accredited by The Joint Commission, and they’re LegitScript certified. What stood out to me is that they are open six days a week, but you do need to schedule an appointment for Saturdays.
If needed, they’ll provide you with medication assisted treatment (MAT). Methadone, buprenorphine, Suboxone, and Vivitrol are the FDA medications that they prescribe. These meds will help you focus on your recovery by easing your withdrawal symptoms and reducing your cravings to consume substances. I do like that you will have your own customized medication management plan.
While receiving their MAT services, you’ll have access to attend individual counseling and group therapy. Their counselors are fully credentialed and specially trained to help you process experiences that are related to addiction. During your individual counseling sessions, your counselor will help you make progress to achieve your treatment goals.
In group therapy sessions, you’ll be able to share your experiences in a supportive environment. You’ll be able to ask questions and receive positive feedback from your peers. What I like about group therapy is that you will be among peers that are on a similar journey as you are. The group environment will help you realize that you are not alone on this journey to recovery.
Speaking of their environment, the center has a neat brick exterior that conveys the safe and structured setting. Inside, the walls are a bit monochromatic gray, but they’re clean and reflect the interior lights well. It’s neat, simple, comfortable with new furniture, and effective.
They also offer social support services. By minimizing barriers that may come along during tour treatment, this service will help you stay focused on your treatment. Their staff will assess your unique situation and they’ll advocate for you. They’ll coordinate your care, take care of any issues with the insurance, as well as connect you to any additional services you may need.
Major insurance plans are accepted including Medicaid and Medicare.
Levels of Care
-
Inpatient
Inpatient and residential programs provide round-the-clock medical and emotional support as you live at the treatment facility. This level of care may be recommended if you have severe addictions or mental health conditions since it removes outside distractions and allows you to focus solely on therapy.
-
Outpatient
In outpatient therapy, you’ll attend therapy sessions several times each week while living at home. This is ideal if you have a strong support system and a lower risk of relapse. Outpatient treatment offers flexibility to maintain work, school or family obligations.
Detox Service Setting
-
Inpatient Detox
Inpatient detox occurs in a dedicated treatment facility. You’ll live there around the clock and receive intensive medical support and supervision to help manage your withdrawal symptoms. It is suitable for individuals with moderate to severe addictions as it ensures a stable detox environment.
-
Outpatient Detox
Outpatient detox gives you access to medically supervised withdrawal services while still allowing you to live at home. You’ll attend a clinic for treatment and monitoring. This flexible option is suitable for those with mild to moderate withdrawal symptoms who have strong support systems.
