About Broadway Treatment Center
Broadway Detox Center is a state-licensed, six-bed, clinically managed, residential drug and alcohol addiction rehabilitation facility, providing a comprehensive curriculum to participants over 18 years of age. Intensity of services provided are congruent with a participant’s level of functional impairment as determined by the treatment team during the admissions process.
Broadway Treatment Center believes that if they can hold their interest by providing relevant, interesting and mind-stimulating content, while inspiring them to take responsibility for their own recovery, they will leave the program with a significant increase in resiliency, strengthened resolve, and skills that will help them lead a productive and substance-free lifestyle well into the future.
While addiction education is an important component of their program, they also identify and address symptoms and functioning across multiple domains. Other essential areas of emphasis include the physical, psychological/emotional, social/familial, employment/educational, relapse potential, and legal stressors and antecedents in a participant’s life which potentially exacerbate a substance abuse problem.
Participants will receive intensive, evidence-based treatment both on an individual and group basis. Family involvement is encouraged. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT) are conducted by a licensed therapist. Recurring one-on-one meetings are conducted by an assigned case manager to help provide accountability to participants with regard to their treatment plan goals and objectives, helping keep them on track and motivated to succeed.
Prior to admission, participants are pre-screened for conditions or circumstances such as high suicide risk, history of violent behavior or a sexual offense, which may preclude our program as an appropriate solution. At admission, the client will undergo a comprehensive history and physical by a licensed medical practitioner specializing in addiction, who will make a determination as to the appropriateness of our program for each individual. A multi-dimensional biopsychosocial assessment based on ASAM criteria is administered by a licensed clinician to gain insight into the severity rating of each dimension, and identify any underpinnings of the substance use problem. Myriad diagnostic, psychological and substance use screening and assessment tools are used to develop a baseline from which to measure our progress. Treatment plans are developed as a collaborative effort between the participant and licensed clinician which identifies problem areas, as well as short term objectives and longer-term goals that are realistic, measurable, attainable and time-stamped. Treatment plans are reviewed regularly so as to determine any modification necessary to maintain a healthy trajectory.
Group sessions cover topics such as processing trauma, anger management, coping skills, addiction education, art/recreational therapy, trigger identification and relapse prevention planning, nutrition-health and wellness, yoga, boundary setting, empowerment, and crisis management. Weekly off-site outings and events are provided to encourage physical activity and promote overall health. A nutritionist is on staff to provide menu consultation for those with modified diets or dietary restrictions on an as needed basis.
The average length of stay in this program is approximately 65 days, however this varies based on the clinical needs of the individuals served. Broadway accepts most health insurance plans, has private-pay options, and provides scholarships to individuals as space allows on a first-come-first-serve basis.
