About Capital Area Recovery Program
Capital Area Recovery Program provides mental health and addiction services at this location in an industrial part of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. They work with most health insurance providers in the state and Medicaid and will help verify your insurance coverage. They are CARF-accredited, demonstrating their commitment to providing quality care.
Social Detox with 24 Hour Support
They provide residential addiction treatment for 28 days or fewer for men 18 years and older. They offer several key services within this program that you have access to when it fits with your personalized treatment program.
Your recovery may begin with withdrawal from drugs or alcohol. They provide social detox using careful monitoring, counseling, and therapy throughout the detox, but no medication. If you were addicted to opioids or alcohol, you may receive medication assisted treatment during therapy to help reduce cravings and relapse.
Comprehensive Short Term Residential Treatment
During your residential program, the staff can also address smoking cessation, offer parenting classes, and screen for a gambling addiction with referral to treatment elsewhere. Your discharge planning begins on the first day of admission to ensure your program continues after discharge and you have the support in the community to promote your sobriety.
They also include a specialized treatment track for co-occurring disorders to treat both conditions simultaneously and they work closely with individuals who have had interactions with the criminal justice system to address thinking patterns that increase the risk of criminal behavior.
You receive trauma-informed care and are introduced to the 12 Step program as well as have access to physical fitness and recreational activities and vocational rehab and education with job placement assistance to promote independence.
Levels of Care
-
Inpatient
Inpatient and residential programs provide round-the-clock medical and emotional support as you live at the treatment facility. This level of care may be recommended if you have severe addictions or mental health conditions since it removes outside distractions and allows you to focus solely on therapy.
-
Outpatient
In outpatient therapy, you’ll attend therapy sessions several times each week while living at home. This is ideal if you have a strong support system and a lower risk of relapse. Outpatient treatment offers flexibility to maintain work, school or family obligations.
-
Aftercare
Aftercare programs provide ongoing support after you complete a rehab program. They may include several components to help you maintain sobriety including therapy, community support groups and relapse prevention strategies. This gives you a network of resources as you reintegrate into your daily life.
-
Dual Diagnosis
Dual diagnosis programs address substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions simultaneously. This integrated approach to care improves the likelihood of long term recovery and stability by addressing the root causes of addiction.
