About Central Florida Treatment Center
The Central Florida Treatment Center provides outpatient medication assisted treatment (MAT) in Palm Bay, Florida. The organization is accredited by The Joint Commission and LegitScript-certified. Insurance is accepted including Medicare and VA insurance. If you are uninsured then you may qualify for their special grant-funded program.
I like that they provide free pre-screenings during the weekday here. The clinical team consists of a board certified medical director, physician assistants, nurses, counselors and social workers.
The medications that they offer are Methadone, Suboxone and Vivitrol. These medications are used to ease your withdrawal symptoms and reduce your cravings. What the medications do is provide your body with the chemical needs without abusing substances. Your treatment will be monitored by a physician.
The length of time on the medication will depend per person. Some individuals may be on it for a few weeks or months while others will be on it for longer. When you feel ready, they can help you taper off of the medication you are on. If you do start to feel withdrawals or cravings, and fear relapsing, let the staff know.
What I like is that therapy is offered in conjunction with the medication assisted treatment. During individual therapy, you will be able to take a deep dive into what started your addiction in the first place. You will also be able to discover and discuss any trauma and go over your treatment plan.
With group counseling, you will be able to learn and receive support from your peers. You will be able to relate to them, as they are able to relate to you. If needed, you and your family will also be able to attend family counseling.

Levels of Care
-
Inpatient
Inpatient and residential programs provide round-the-clock medical and emotional support as you live at the treatment facility. This level of care may be recommended if you have severe addictions or mental health conditions since it removes outside distractions and allows you to focus solely on therapy.
-
Outpatient
In outpatient therapy, you’ll attend therapy sessions several times each week while living at home. This is ideal if you have a strong support system and a lower risk of relapse. Outpatient treatment offers flexibility to maintain work, school or family obligations.
-
Intervention
An intervention is a structured and professionally guided conversation with an individual who is struggling with addiction. During the conversation, family and friends will encourage you to seek treatment. This is often a pivotal step for those resistant to getting help.
Detox Service Setting
-
Outpatient Detox
Outpatient detox gives you access to medically supervised withdrawal services while still allowing you to live at home. You’ll attend a clinic for treatment and monitoring. This flexible option is suitable for those with mild to moderate withdrawal symptoms who have strong support systems.
-
MAT
Medication assisted treatment combines medication and counseling to manage withdrawal and reduce cravings for opioid and alcohol addiction. Medications may include methadone, buprenorphine or naltrexone. MAT is tailored to your needs so you can actively participate in your treatment journey.
