About Clarksburg Comprehensive Treatment Ctr

The Clarksburg Comprehensive Treatment Center provides outpatient opioid treatment in Clarksburg, West Virginia. It’s in the Rose Bud Plaza Shopping Center at the edge of town. If you’re an adult, 18 years of age and older, you’ll be able to receive treatment for opioid use disorder.

The organization is state and publicly funded. Insurance is accepted including TRICARE, Medicaid and Medicare. The option of self pay is available for anyone who is uninsured.

You must be in a withdrawal state for 24-48 hours of being substance free before you can begin treatment. You will then complete a thorough assessment that will help identify your specific needs. By identifying your needs, your personalized treatment plan can be developed. You’ll go over your substance use history, medical history, family history and your treatment goals. This ensures that all your treatment needs will be met for a successful long term recovery.

Allow yourself two to four hours, as this is how long your intake appointment will be. One of the center’s physicians will conduct a complete physical exam that will include drug testing and tuberculosis testing. If you have proof that you have had a tuberculosis test in the last two years, then you can wave the test.

If you’re a woman seeking treatment, you will need to take a pregnancy test. You must not be in a state of withdrawal when you arrive for your intake appointment, if you are pregnant. You’ll need a letter from your OBGYN stating that they have approved you to receive treatment. I like that they will help you make arrangements if you don’t have an OBGYN. They will be able to coordinate your care with the OBGYN as long as you sign the release of information form.

Following your assessment, you are going to meet with a member of their medical staff team. The four FDA approved medications they choose from are methadone, Suboxone, naltrexone and buprenorphine. They will help determine whether methadone or a different med should be included along with your treatment plan. The purpose of these prescriptions is to help ease your withdrawal symptoms and reduce cravings so that you may be able to focus on your recovery journey.

Along with medication assisted treatment (MAT), you’ll be attending counseling services. In individual counseling, you’ll reflect on how addiction has impacted your life. You’ll also learn to make changes that are healthy to support your recovery.

In group counseling, you’ll develop relapse prevention strategies and practice health communication skills. You’ll also see that you are not alone on this journey, as you connect and learn from your peers’ experiences. If offsite excursions are doable, you and your peers can venture into downtown Clarksville and see the historical sites and exercise in their many parks.

Levels of Care

  • Inpatient

Inpatient and residential programs provide round-the-clock medical and emotional support as you live at the treatment facility. This level of care may be recommended if you have severe addictions or mental health conditions since it removes outside distractions and allows you to focus solely on therapy.

  • Outpatient

In outpatient therapy, you’ll attend therapy sessions several times each week while living at home. This is ideal if you have a strong support system and a lower risk of relapse. Outpatient treatment offers flexibility to maintain work, school or family obligations.

  • PHP

Partial hospitalization programs provide comprehensive treatment in a structured setting during the day but allow you to return home at night. These programs offer a balance of inpatient and outpatient rehab and provide intensive support without full time residency.

Detox Service Setting

  • Inpatient Detox

Inpatient detox occurs in a dedicated treatment facility. You’ll live there around the clock and receive intensive medical support and supervision to help manage your withdrawal symptoms. It is suitable for individuals with moderate to severe addictions as it ensures a stable detox environment.

  • Outpatient Detox

Outpatient detox gives you access to medically supervised withdrawal services while still allowing you to live at home. You’ll attend a clinic for treatment and monitoring. This flexible option is suitable for those with mild to moderate withdrawal symptoms who have strong support systems.

  • MAT

Medication assisted treatment combines medication and counseling to manage withdrawal and reduce cravings for opioid and alcohol addiction. Medications may include methadone, buprenorphine or naltrexone. MAT is tailored to your needs so you can actively participate in your treatment journey.

Programs

  • Teen (13 - 18)

  • Adult (18+)

Adult programs address the substance use and life challenges specific to adults. Therapists can deliver sessions in individual, group and family settings. Services often include job support and life skills training in a structured environment.

  • Seniors (65+)

Senior programs address the unique needs of older adults like chronic pain, grief and isolation. Programs include peer support and medical oversight for age related health concerns. The goal is to improve quality of life and promote sober aging.

  • Women

Women's programs offer a safe and supportive space to focus on gender specific issues such as trauma, family roles and mental health conditions. Therapists tailor the sessions to address women's needs and foster empowerment in a healing and nurturing environment.
