About Community Healing Center
Located in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Community Healing Center provides addiction recovery services for adults. Their specialties include medical detox, residential treatment and aftercare support including dedicated services for pregnant and postpartum women and clients with co-occurring conditions.
Their medical detox services take place in an inpatient environment, allowing clients to safely withdraw from alcohol, opioids and other drugs in a comfortable, supervised environment. In addition to 24-hour nursing care and medical monitoring, providers can also administer buprenorphine, an FDA-approved addiction medication, to make the withdrawal process more comfortable. This medication can help alleviate the physical symptoms of withdrawal, curb cravings and lower the risk of relapse.
Most residential treatments last between 10 and 18 days. While living on-site, clients have access to an array of services that cater to their unique needs and individualized treatment plans. Available services include individual, couples and family counseling; life-skills training; relapse-prevention training; and peer support groups.
Their aftercare services help clients set a foundation for long-term recovery. Providers work with each client upon discharge to help them connect with community-based resources such as counseling groups, transportation, sober living houses and similar programs.
Community Healing Center may be in-network with most major insurance providers, including Aetna, Cigna, Humana, United Healthcare, TRICARE, BlueCross/BlueShield and others. Ask your individual provider to verify your coverage as out of network benefits could vary.
Community Healing Center is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).

Levels of Care
-
Inpatient
Inpatient and residential programs provide round-the-clock medical and emotional support as you live at the treatment facility. This level of care may be recommended if you have severe addictions or mental health conditions since it removes outside distractions and allows you to focus solely on therapy.
-
Outpatient
In outpatient therapy, you’ll attend therapy sessions several times each week while living at home. This is ideal if you have a strong support system and a lower risk of relapse. Outpatient treatment offers flexibility to maintain work, school or family obligations.
-
Aftercare
Aftercare programs provide ongoing support after you complete a rehab program. They may include several components to help you maintain sobriety including therapy, community support groups and relapse prevention strategies. This gives you a network of resources as you reintegrate into your daily life.
-
Sober Living
Sober living homes provide a supportive and substance free environment for you to live in as you overcome your addiction. Residents must follow house rules and support each other's recovery journeys. Sober living fosters accountability and stability during this critical phase of recovery.
