About Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula
Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula, located in Monterey, California, provides primary health, behavioral health, mental health and addiction recovery services for children, teenagers and adults. Their programs include medical detox, crisis stabilization, inpatient treatment, partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programs, general outpatient programs and aftercare support, including dedicated services for adolescents and clients with co-occurring conditions.
They tailor their addiction recovery plans to meet the needs of each client. This may include an initial detoxification phase to allow clients to withdraw from alcohol, opioids and other substances while under medical supervision. As required, providers can administer buprenorphine, an FDA-approved addiction medication, to alleviate physical pain, minimize cravings and lower relapse risk.
Their inpatient treatment allows clients to pursue recovery in a safe, therapeutic environment. While here, clients participate in individual and group therapy, art therapy and peer socialization sessions. Rooms are private and comfortably furnished.
Their outpatient services include graduated levels of care, with available services that include individual and group therapy, medication management, life-skills training, 12 Step programs, nutrition counseling and addiction education.
Once clients complete treatment, they can participate in weekly alumni support groups for one year. Providers may also offer recommendations and referrals for other, community-based recovery resources, such as career counseling.
Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula is in-network with many commercial insurance providers, including Aetna, APS Healthcare, Anthem, BlueCross/BlueShield, Cigna, First Health and others. Ask your individual provider to verify your coverage as out of network benefits can vary.
