Methadone is the most widely known and well researched medication for opioid dependence. Patients begin by attending Champ daily for a methadone dose. Eventually, they will be able to earn take-home doses.
Medication works best when in conjunction with support for change. Chapman offers case management focused on the whole individual and emotional support from trained counselors. Champ offers both scheduled and open-door appointments.
Champ also offers support for change such as vocation planning and referrals to community and government resources. They accept various payer sources including private insurance, private pay and various charitable organizations sponsoring the treatment. Inpatient
