About Connecticut Counseling Centers Inc
Connecticut Counseling Centers Inc in Danbury, Connecticut, provides a full range of outpatient substance use services and mental health support to guide people on the path to recovery. They offer a whole body approach to addiction treatment, which tackles the physical, behavioral and psychological aspects of substance use. They also have bilingual staff to serve the cultural needs of their Hispanic/Latino clients.
For clients struggling to break free of their chemical dependency on opioids, the Connecticut Counseling Center offers medication assisted treatment (MAT) programs. These specialized substance use programs use medications that decrease cravings and soften withdrawal symptoms, as well as block the euphoric effects of opioids. This helps clients wean off illicit opiates by stopping the constant physical and psychological ‘need’ for the next hit.
Alongside medications, clients undergo a program of counseling including individual, couples, and family therapy. This helps clients identify the underlying triggers of their substance use, work to change their behaviors and heal fractured relationships with loved ones.
Additional services provided in the medicated assisted treatment program include yearly medical assessments, identification and treatment of co-occurring mental health disorders and comprehensive treatment planning. Some of their specialized services include care management for pregnant clients, HIV and hepatitis C education and care and referrals for housing and employment services. Other outpatient substance use services from the Connecticut Counseling Center include a specialty program for pregnant clients struggling with substance use issues and peer mentorship programs for clients undergoing medication assisted treatment.

Levels of Care
-
Inpatient
Inpatient and residential programs provide round-the-clock medical and emotional support as you live at the treatment facility. This level of care may be recommended if you have severe addictions or mental health conditions since it removes outside distractions and allows you to focus solely on therapy.
-
Outpatient
In outpatient therapy, you’ll attend therapy sessions several times each week while living at home. This is ideal if you have a strong support system and a lower risk of relapse. Outpatient treatment offers flexibility to maintain work, school or family obligations.
-
Intervention
An intervention is a structured and professionally guided conversation with an individual who is struggling with addiction. During the conversation, family and friends will encourage you to seek treatment. This is often a pivotal step for those resistant to getting help.
-
Dual Diagnosis
Dual diagnosis programs address substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions simultaneously. This integrated approach to care improves the likelihood of long term recovery and stability by addressing the root causes of addiction.
Detox Service Setting
-
Outpatient Detox
Outpatient detox gives you access to medically supervised withdrawal services while still allowing you to live at home. You’ll attend a clinic for treatment and monitoring. This flexible option is suitable for those with mild to moderate withdrawal symptoms who have strong support systems.
-
MAT
Medication assisted treatment combines medication and counseling to manage withdrawal and reduce cravings for opioid and alcohol addiction. Medications may include methadone, buprenorphine or naltrexone. MAT is tailored to your needs so you can actively participate in your treatment journey.
