About Continuum Recovery Center of Colorado
The Continuum Recovery Center of Colorado is a boutique addiction treatment center in Denver, Colorado. The center is accredited by The Joint Commission and licensed by the Behavioral Health Administration of the Colorado Department of Health Services. Insurance such as Medicaid and TRICARE are accepted.
Adult men and women, who are over 18 years of age and older and are working professionals, are the main clients of their outpatient treatment. An assessment will determine your best level of care based on your medical and substance use history. Their treatment team will then create a tailored treatment plan to maximize your spiritual, emotion and physical healing.
Medication assisted treatment (MAT) is available. This form of substance abuse treatment uses FDA approved medications to help curve your cravings and alleviate your withdrawal symptoms. Their MAT program is not a standalone service, it will be combined with cognitive and behavioral therapies that are offered in their outpatient programs.
Depending on your level of care, you may be placed in either their partial hospitalization program (PHP), intensive outpatient program (IOP) or their outpatient program (OP). The differences between the programs is the length and time you will be required to attend treatment, on a weekly basis. I like that no matter which program is best suited for you, you’ll have access to all their holistic therapies.
I like that with their music and art therapy services, you will be able to express your thoughts, feelings and emotions. They also have yoga, acupuncture and meditation. The hardwood floors and wood accents and soothing colors can create an ambiance that encourages you to unwind and relax.
What stood out to me is their fitness coaching therapy. Their onsite fitness coaches will help you develop a plan for an active lifestyle. By having a healthy lifestyle, you will be able to improve your self esteem and your self image. I like that by feeling good, you reduce your risk for relapsing. Speaking of coaches, the offsite recreation sites, like Kennedy Soccer Complex and Hampden Heights Park, offer space to exercise and unwind.
Another form of therapy that stood out to me is the eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. It is an eight phase treatment that will help you work through and process trauma and emotional distress. Your mind will be able to heal from any psychological trauma while your body heals from physical trauma.
Levels of Care
-
Inpatient
Inpatient and residential programs provide round-the-clock medical and emotional support as you live at the treatment facility. This level of care may be recommended if you have severe addictions or mental health conditions since it removes outside distractions and allows you to focus solely on therapy.
-
Outpatient
In outpatient therapy, you’ll attend therapy sessions several times each week while living at home. This is ideal if you have a strong support system and a lower risk of relapse. Outpatient treatment offers flexibility to maintain work, school or family obligations.
Detox Service Setting
-
Inpatient Detox
Inpatient detox occurs in a dedicated treatment facility. You’ll live there around the clock and receive intensive medical support and supervision to help manage your withdrawal symptoms. It is suitable for individuals with moderate to severe addictions as it ensures a stable detox environment.
-
Outpatient Detox
Outpatient detox gives you access to medically supervised withdrawal services while still allowing you to live at home. You’ll attend a clinic for treatment and monitoring. This flexible option is suitable for those with mild to moderate withdrawal symptoms who have strong support systems.
