About Cadas Rehab
The Council for Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services (CADAS) is a non-profit substance use recovery provider. They are located in Chattanooga, Tennessee and offer medical detox and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) as well as residential and outpatient treatment for adults.
CADAS works with most commercial health plans including TennCare. They also have access to public funding options so that even if you can’t pay, you can access the help you need. CADAS has a gold seal of approval from the prestigious Joint Commission.
Their detox program gives you access to round-the-clock medical supervision for as long as it takes to get you through the withdrawal process. Unlike going cold turkey, medical detox makes the process as safe and comfortable as possible. Medical staff including nurses, doctors and mental health experts will carefully evaluate and monitor you during the process. You may be given prescription medication to ease withdrawal symptoms.
Every person is different so there’s no set amount of time this process will take. Your detox program can range from two days up to 10 days or more.
During your time at this facility, you’ll stay in an apartment-style building that has a gym with a rock climbing wall, a cafeteria, and several lounge areas both indoors and outdoors. During detox, you will begin to address the root causes of your addiction. You’ll most likely take part in individual counseling and group therapy.
CADAS also offers MAT as an outpatient service. Clients are prescribed FDA-approved medication like buprenorphine, Suboxone and naltrexone. These medications have been proven to be effective at helping people get rid of cravings for opioids. Some of these medications are taken orally and others are injectable.
