About Cross Creek Hospital
Cross Creek Hospital provides treatment services for adults and adolescents struggling with mental health and substance abuse issues in Austin, Texas. Adults can receive detox, inpatient and outpatient services while adolescents receive inpatient and outpatient services. They do accept insurance which includes TRICARE, Medicaid and Medicare.
To be accepted into their medical detox program, you must be an adult who is 18 years of age or older with alcohol or drugs in your system. The typical length of stay is between five to seven days but that can differ depending on your state of health and your specific needs. I like that the physician will visit you daily to track your progress and determine if medication assisted treatment (MAT) is needed to alleviate your withdrawal symptoms.
Their nursing team will provide you with round the clock care and medication management. If you are psychologically and physically able to then you can participate in their therapeutic programming. You may see nurse education groups, process groups, psychotherapy groups and goals groups on your treatment plan. They also have recreational therapy groups and gym time so that you can involve your mind and body in your recovery process. Music and art therapy are available as well.
The rooms are semi private so there is a chance that you may have a roommate during your treatment program stay. I do like that they understand the importance of a daily schedule. You will be provided with a daily schedule that provides structure and consistency. Every unit has a washer and dryer. They will provide you with three nutritious meals daily.
You are able to continue your care once you graduate from a higher level of care, with their outpatient programs. They offer both a partial hospitalization program (PHP) and the intensive outpatient program (IOP).
Levels of Care
-
Inpatient
Inpatient and residential programs provide round-the-clock medical and emotional support as you live at the treatment facility. This level of care may be recommended if you have severe addictions or mental health conditions since it removes outside distractions and allows you to focus solely on therapy.
-
Dual Diagnosis
Dual diagnosis programs address substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions simultaneously. This integrated approach to care improves the likelihood of long term recovery and stability by addressing the root causes of addiction.
