The Claratel DeKalb Addiction Clinic is a treatment center for drug and alcohol addiction in Decatur, Georgia. It was formerly known as the DeKalb Community Services Board, and they also have several other locations where they help with other aspects of behavioral health as well as intellectual disabilities and developmental disabilities.
This addiction treatment center offers detox to help you get clean from drugs and alcohol and give your recovery journey a strong start, whether this is your first time or you have many rehab experiences under your belt. They also have outpatient addiction treatment and residential treatment, so after your detox they can set you up with the level of care you need.
In some cases they can offer medication to help with your withdrawal and detox. This medication can reduce your symptoms and lower your cravings so you’re less likely to relapse before you reach a stable point in your sobriety.
What I think is the most important thing about this treatment center is that it’s a nonprofit organization. Their goal is to help the community, including those who can’t afford private rehabs and detox. They accept Medicare and Medicaid as well as Peach State insurance and select private insurance plans. They also have a sliding fee scale that determines your fees based on your income and family size, so you pay what you can afford. They’re accredited by CARF International, too, which indicates a level of professionalism and quality for their care.
Some clients have said their scheduling and other administrative aspects can take a long time to handle. However, many clients say that the therapists here have helped them with their recovery and that the affordability makes up for the administrative issues.

Levels of Care

Inpatient
Inpatient and residential programs provide round-the-clock medical and emotional support as you live at the treatment facility. This level of care may be recommended if you have severe addictions or mental health conditions since it removes outside distractions and allows you to focus solely on therapy.

In outpatient therapy, you’ll attend therapy sessions several times each week while living at home. This is ideal if you have a strong support system and a lower risk of relapse. Outpatient treatment offers flexibility to maintain work, school or family obligations.
