About Eskenazi Health
Eskenazi Health, situated in Indianapolis, Indiana, is an integrated, state-of-the-art health campus that offers a variety of treatments including treatment for individuals dealing with addictions to drugs, alcohol or gambling. They provide medical detox, inpatient and outpatient treatment with a program for dual diagnosis and services for children and teens.
The Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center provides medical detox for alcohol, benzodiazepines and opiates. Clients receive treatment each weekday, generally lasting 2-4 weeks. During these visits, clients will be assessed on symptoms, vital signs and mental health status. A multi-disciplinary team works together to offer clients various medications such as methadone and therapy modalities to support recovery. Individual, group and family therapy and case management are tailored to the needs of each client.
Their dual-diagnosis treatment is for individuals who have substance use disorder as well as mental health issues. Treatment focuses on sobriety, developing recovery plans and relapse prevention. Inpatient care includes a private room and nutritious in-house meals with local produce. The focus is holistic care that integrates mental health care with physical wellness.
Eskenazi Health accepts self-pay and private insurance. A sliding fee discount program based on household size and income is available for outpatient services. Contact your provider to verify coverage because out of network benefits can vary.

Levels of Care
-
Inpatient
Inpatient and residential programs provide round-the-clock medical and emotional support as you live at the treatment facility. This level of care may be recommended if you have severe addictions or mental health conditions since it removes outside distractions and allows you to focus solely on therapy.
-
Outpatient
In outpatient therapy, you’ll attend therapy sessions several times each week while living at home. This is ideal if you have a strong support system and a lower risk of relapse. Outpatient treatment offers flexibility to maintain work, school or family obligations.
Detox Service Setting
-
Hospital Detox
Hospital detoxification allows you to withdraw from drugs or alcohol in a hospital setting. It’s ideal for people with severe withdrawal symptoms or complex medical needs. You’ll receive constant monitoring, emergency care if needed and FDA approved prescription medications.
-
Inpatient Detox
Inpatient detox occurs in a dedicated treatment facility. You’ll live there around the clock and receive intensive medical support and supervision to help manage your withdrawal symptoms. It is suitable for individuals with moderate to severe addictions as it ensures a stable detox environment.
-
Outpatient Detox
Outpatient detox gives you access to medically supervised withdrawal services while still allowing you to live at home. You’ll attend a clinic for treatment and monitoring. This flexible option is suitable for those with mild to moderate withdrawal symptoms who have strong support systems.
