About Fairmount Behavioral Health System
Fairmount Behavioral Health System is a alcohol and drug detox and rehab facility located on a 27 acre wooded campus in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Bordering Fairmount Park in Roxborough, Fairmount offers residential medical detox, and inpatient treatment for adults. They also offer behavioral health programs for adolescents and treatment for co-occurring mental health illness.
.
They have a 21 bed medical detox environment where patients are carefully monitored during alcohol, benzodiazepine or opiate withdrawal. Motivational interviewing, cognitive behavior therapy, and physical examinations are available to kickstart patients’ recovery.
Psychiatric services and medications are available for co-occurring disorders.
After detox, patients can enter the inpatient rehabilitation programs. These gender-specific residential programs are for individuals who require a supportive, immersive setting to aid in recovery. Participants can join various therapeutic groups such as daily AA, NA and CA meetings and educational lectures on topics such as stress or anger management and relapse prevention.
Patients can meet with a psychiatrist for evaluation and medication as needed. Core components are chemical dependency education, building support systems, family involvement and skills to maintain sobriety after discharge.
