About Fernandez Community Center
Fernandez Community Center is an LBGTQ+ friendly substance abuse treatment facility located in Raleigh, North Carolina. They offer medication assisted treatment and ambulatory detox for adults.
Ambulatory detox allows patients to receive treatment during the day and return to their homes afterwards. This type of treatment is best suited for individuals with mild addiction issues who do not require around the clock care and support. Trained clinicians provide medical supervision, evaluation and detoxification over several hours each day of treatment. Ambulatory detox is designed to achieve safe and comfortable withdrawal in order to allow patients to transition to further treatment.
MAT combines the use of medications such as methadone, buprenorphine and Suboxone with behavioral therapies. Group and individual counseling will focus on coping skills, relapse prevention, and addressing the factors that led to substance use.
Fernandez Community Center also offers peer support services. This is an evidence-based mental health modality that pairs clients with a certified peer support specialist. These specialists are individuals who are in recovery from mental health or substance abuse disorders. Access to peers can be both instructive and encouraging.
Fernandez Community Center accepts Medicaid, Medicare and private insurance. Contact your provider to verify coverage because out of network benefits may vary.
