Their program includes individual counseling, group meetings and group sessions throughout the day. These group sessions might be educational where you learn about disease theory, the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous, how to identify a trigger and how to avoid relapse.The process groups focus on anger and stress management, dealing with feelings, spirituality, having sober fun and family dynamics.

You’ll also have a weekly counseling session that includes your family members. This is a time to heal together as a family, learn about enabling behaviors and establish new ways of being a family for the future.

Harris House offers medication management during detox as well as in residential treatment. This may include anti-craving medications such as Suboxone, Vivitrol, and Naltrexone. These medications have been designed to help reduce cravings, block the effects of opioids and prevent relapse.

Once you finish the detox program, you can choose to step down into intensive outpatient treatment to continue your progress. As a graduate you also have access to weekly aftercare groups sessions for one year.
