Hauppauge Opioid Treatment Program provides tailored and affordable medication assisted treatment to help adults in Hauppauge and broader Suffolk County overcome opioid addiction. This recovery program is coordinated by the Suffolk County Hauppauge Division of Community Mental Hygiene. This department is tasked with coordinating county resources to support residents with substance use disorders, mental health issues and other behavioral problems. The facility is situated on Wireless Boulevard just a mile west of Veterans Memorial Highway in Hauppauge, New York.

Opioid Recovery for Justice-Involved Individuals
Hauppauge Opioid Treatment Program is a Methadone Maintenance – Key Extended Entry Program or MM KEEP. This program offers methadone maintenance therapy to predominantly incarcerated individuals. Methadone maintenance therapy involves a prescription of methadone to help patients manage painful withdrawal symptoms and curb physiological cravings. It may also involve behavioral therapy to help patients address the psychological and emotional symptoms of opioid dependence.
MM KEEP not only reduces withdrawal symptoms but also minimizes illicit drug use and lowers the risk of HIV transmission among the incarcerated population. The program also facilitates the transition to community-based treatment once the patient gets released. This ensures continuity of care, reduces the risk of relapse and supports lasting healing after release.

Detox Service Setting

Outpatient Detox
Outpatient detox gives you access to medically supervised withdrawal services while still allowing you to live at home. You’ll attend a clinic for treatment and monitoring. This flexible option is suitable for those with mild to moderate withdrawal symptoms who have strong support systems.

MAT
Medication assisted treatment combines medication and counseling to manage withdrawal and reduce cravings for opioid and alcohol addiction. Medications may include methadone, buprenorphine or naltrexone. MAT is tailored to your needs so you can actively participate in your treatment journey.
