About Heartland Center For Behavioral Change
The withdrawal management program at Heartland Center for Behavioral Change is intended for people going through severe alcohol and drug withdrawal. They were founded in 1982. In order to lessen the discomfort of withdrawal, this independent inpatient facility in Kansas City, Missouri, offers a secure closely watched setting.
The program includes compassionate care from certified doctors and nurses as well as round the clock inpatient medical monitoring. In this cozy residential setting, transition planning and individual counseling are essential components of the therapeutic process. Although five days is the usual duration, your stay can be adjusted to meet your specific needs. You’ll go through detox in a supportive setting while enrolled in this program.
The daily visits from the medical team which includes APRNs and physicians help guide you through withdrawal safely. Registered nurses provide care around the clock and attend to your needs at every stage. The facility employs a whole patient approach to treating substance use disorders. This entails combining counseling, medication and behavioral therapies.
They offer outpatient programs that meet the requirements of the American Society of Addiction Medicine. This ranges from daily to monthly support. Together with your treatment team, you’ll be paired with the level of care that best meets your needs. Comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, individual and group counseling, and dialectic education groups are offered. Community support assistance, self help groups and medication assistance are among the other services offered.
Recognizing the value of having a solid support network during your recovery process, family involvement is encouraged. They have locations scattered across Nashville that offer peer and family resources. That way, as you reintegrate with your community, you’ll continue to be part of their support network.
The Missouri Department of Mental Health has certified their programs, and they’ve been accredited by CARF.
