About Cherry Hill Detox
Cherry Hill Detox is a facility that provides detoxification services in San Leandro, California. The two components of their care are the sobering unit and the detox unit. They are recognized by the California Department of Health Care services and the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.
A nice thing about this facility’s location is it’s not far from Lake Chabot Regional Park. The park has a 315-acre reservoir where you can go fishing and canoeing, and it also has picnic areas where you can have a nice meal on a sunny afternoon.
Immediate Sobering Services
Staffed 24 hours a day and seven days a week, the sobering unit is a 50 bed coed facility designed to provide immediate assistance to individuals struggling with substance use disorder. Your stay at this location will be 23 hours or less. You’ll undergo a telephone screening process where trained staff will assess you to determine whether sobering or detox services are appropriate for your needs.
Clinically Managed Residential Detox
The detox unit is a 32-bed residential program that provides detox services to men and women. You’ll be regularly monitored by trained staff as you undergo the withdrawal process. The staff can also refer you to psychiatric or medical services if necessary.
While guiding you through a safe withdrawal, staff will assess you to determine your next steps for treatment. In addition to psychiatric and medical services, the facility can refer you to housing services and job training. Most clients spend four to six days at the detox unit.
