Treatment Options
Substance abuse problems entail a complex mix of both physical and psychological disorders that work together to drive continued substance abuse. In this respect, there’s a definite need for a comprehensive treatment approach that’s capable of addressing all the issues that contribute to compulsive drug and alcohol use.
For these reasons, Jordan Valley Medical Center West Valley Campus offers several treatment program options, each of which focuses on different stages and different aspects of the substance abuse problem. Detox program options offered include:
Inpatient Care – treats the most difficult cases of addiction where withdrawal symptoms are most severe
Intensive Outpatient Program – treats moderate forms of substance abuse and addiction with treatment sessions running throughout the week
Outpatient Care – treats mild forms of substance abuse with treatment sessions running two to three days a week
Mental Health Care – treats psychological problems, such as depression and anxiety that develop as a result of chronic substance abuse
Amenities
In cases of severe drug or alcohol addiction, stopping substance abuse not only brings on excruciating withdrawal symptoms, but it can also be life-threatening. Under these conditions, it’s all but impossible to stop using in the absence of needed treatment supports.
Jordan Valley Medical Center has put together an Adult Substance Abuse Withdrawal Unit that specializes in helping individuals progress through the difficult early stages of detox. As one of our facility’s main substance abuse programs, the adult unit operates within an inpatient setting with treatment durations running from three to five days.
Services provided through the Adult Substance Abuse Withdrawal Unit include:
Pre-screening and assessment
Round-the-clock monitoring and supervision
Medication stabilization
Aftercare planning

Levels of Care
-
Inpatient
Inpatient and residential programs provide round-the-clock medical and emotional support as you live at the treatment facility. This level of care may be recommended if you have severe addictions or mental health conditions since it removes outside distractions and allows you to focus solely on therapy.
-
Outpatient
In outpatient therapy, you’ll attend therapy sessions several times each week while living at home. This is ideal if you have a strong support system and a lower risk of relapse. Outpatient treatment offers flexibility to maintain work, school or family obligations.
Detox Service Setting
-
Hospital Detox
Hospital detoxification allows you to withdraw from drugs or alcohol in a hospital setting. It’s ideal for people with severe withdrawal symptoms or complex medical needs. You’ll receive constant monitoring, emergency care if needed and FDA approved prescription medications.
-
Outpatient Detox
Outpatient detox gives you access to medically supervised withdrawal services while still allowing you to live at home. You’ll attend a clinic for treatment and monitoring. This flexible option is suitable for those with mild to moderate withdrawal symptoms who have strong support systems.
