About Kaiser Permanente Chemical Dependency Recovery Program
Kaiser Permanente’s First Street Medical Offices in Fresno, California, offers alcohol and drug rehab for young adults and adults. The center features ambulatory detox, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), general outpatient (OP), and aftercare programs. Specialized services are available for adolescents. Services are available in English and Spanish.
Kaiser Permanente’s structured environment encourages clients to begin their rehabilitation. In the ambulatory medical detox program, licensed clinicians prescribe FDA-approved Suboxone, Vivitrol, and methadone to ease withdrawal pains and reduce cravings. Throughout the program, a case management team supervises clients to prevent overdoses and relapses.
Along with detox, clients undergo therapy, which can include health education classes, parenting classes, harm reduction programs, and life skills development to strengthen their recovery. The program deescalates from 6 days a week to 1 day per week after 18 months. Kaiser may refer patients to outside facilities for specialized substance abuse programs.
Kaiser Permanente offers self-pay and financing options. The center accepts Medicare and Medi-Cal and may be in-network with Aetna, Beacon, BlueCross/BlueShield, Cigna, Humana, Magellan, Optum, and Wellpoint. Please check your insurance provider for coverage because out-of-network benefits can vary.
