About Kickapoo Tribal Health Center
The Kickapoo Tribal Health Center offers behavioral health services to Native American adults, children, teens and their families. Located in McLoud, Oklahoma, this Tribal Health Center has an on site pharmacy, an acute care clinic, and a behavioral health department that offers robust services including medication assisted treatment (MAT).
There are also dedicated and inviting support groups that target individuals of all ages with various struggles. For example, their Talking Circles group meets weekly, creating an inviting atmosphere for you to connect with others who are experiencing similar mental health and addiction struggles.
Dedicated Opioid Addiction Recovery
There are different grant programs offered through the Kickapoo Tribal Health Center which help Native Americans get the addiction recovery services they need. One of their grant programs, the Tribal Opioid Response (TOR) Grant, helps connect members of the Kickapoo Tribal service area to opioid recovery services including medication assisted treatment.
This program has also expanded their services, helping meet the recovery needs of individuals through supportive care that is trauma informed and rooted in evidence based practices. The care is also culturally appropriate, recognizing Native American customs and traditions.
Teen and Young Adult Support
The State Youth Treatment Implementation (SYTI) Grant is another supportive program that targets teens and young adults aged 12 to 25. This program is primarily for individuals who are at risk or are already struggling with addiction. Receiving these services allows you to be a part of a supportive community where you’ll get connected to different resources that will help you lead a positive and impactful life. Services including family therapy can help you build a strong foundation for a successful and sober future.

Aftercare programs provide ongoing support after you complete a rehab program. They may include several components to help you maintain sobriety including therapy, community support groups and relapse prevention strategies. This gives you a network of resources as you reintegrate into your daily life.

Dual Diagnosis
Dual diagnosis programs address substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions simultaneously. This integrated approach to care improves the likelihood of long term recovery and stability by addressing the root causes of addiction.
