About Kolmac Clinic
Kolman Integrated Behavioral Health provides substance abuse and mental health treatment for adults. They’re based in Silver Spring, Maryland. They offer outpatient services that allow you to get the care you need while enjoying regular activities like working or attending school. They have convenient garage parking on Ellsworth Drive.
Care When You Need It Since 1973
Kolmac doesn’t take forever to get the help you need. After your initial call, they start providing assistance within one business day. Faster admission times mean you aren’t waiting around for treatment. They work on co-occurring conditions that frequently accompany addiction, like anxiety and depression.
Flexible Treatment with MAT
Not only does Kolmac provide outpatient treatment for greater flexibility, but it also has telehealth appointments available. Telemedicine can provide convenient scheduling when you need more flexibility.
Medication assisted treatment (MAT) helps reduce cravings for those experiencing alcohol or opioid addiction. They believe that MAT can help you stop using substances the same day you start treatment.
Clients are provided education to help them understand the role addiction plays in relationships and thinking patterns. They have resources that keep family members engaged and aware of your recovery progress. Addiction affects loved ones, and these resources may help mend past issues to help your family become a supportive network for your sobriety.
A Park Away for the Day
Continuing care is available to help with ongoing recovery. This service may include counseling, 12 Step meetings, and sober events that provide socialization with others in recovery. A couple of blocks away are Ellsworth Park and Fairview Road Urban Park. These greenspaces may make it easier for you to relax and stretch your legs a bit between sessions.
The goal at Kolmac Clinic is to provide easier access to addiction care. They work with most health insurance plans, including Cigna, Aetna, and UnitedHealthcare.

Levels of Care
-
Inpatient
Inpatient and residential programs provide round-the-clock medical and emotional support as you live at the treatment facility. This level of care may be recommended if you have severe addictions or mental health conditions since it removes outside distractions and allows you to focus solely on therapy.
-
Outpatient
In outpatient therapy, you’ll attend therapy sessions several times each week while living at home. This is ideal if you have a strong support system and a lower risk of relapse. Outpatient treatment offers flexibility to maintain work, school or family obligations.
-
Dual Diagnosis
Dual diagnosis programs address substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions simultaneously. This integrated approach to care improves the likelihood of long term recovery and stability by addressing the root causes of addiction.
Detox Service Setting
-
Outpatient Detox
Outpatient detox gives you access to medically supervised withdrawal services while still allowing you to live at home. You’ll attend a clinic for treatment and monitoring. This flexible option is suitable for those with mild to moderate withdrawal symptoms who have strong support systems.
-
MAT
Medication assisted treatment combines medication and counseling to manage withdrawal and reduce cravings for opioid and alcohol addiction. Medications may include methadone, buprenorphine or naltrexone. MAT is tailored to your needs so you can actively participate in your treatment journey.
