About Lakeview Health – Drug and Alcohol Addiction Treatment
Located in Jacksonville, Florida, Lakeview Health offers detoxification and residential rehab programs to adults struggling with substance use disorders. They also cater to clients with a dual diagnosis, that is, those who are suffering from a mental health disorder alongside their addiction issues. It’s great that they offer gender-specific treatment programs and personalized treatment plans, ensuring each client gets care tailored to their needs. Lakeview Health accepts most major insurance plans.
Clients, both men and women, with a chemical dependency will start their treatment at Lakeview Health with a medically supervised detox to clear their system from drugs and alcohol. Prescription drugs ease cravings and reduce withdrawal symptoms, so clients can wean off substances safely and comfortably. When clients are feeling better, they’re encouraged to attend counseling sessions to help build a strong foundation for recovery.
Once a client is physically and emotionally stabilized, they can transition into one of the facility’s residential rehab programs with separate tracks available for men and women. In both the men’s and women’s facilities, the morning is typically spent in various group therapy sessions. In the afternoon, clients are free to spend time in the recreation center which offers activities such as swimming, basketball, ping pong, gym, meditation garden, and spa. The evenings consist of 12 Step meetings, with regular guest speakers sharing their recovery stories.
Lakeview Health also offers partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient programs (IOP) to offer a full continuum of care to its clients. Plus, they also have an alumni program that provides ongoing support, long after a client has left the facility.
I really like that Lakeview Health also offers a family program to help the loved ones impacted by addiction heal from their trauma. The family program includes a three day workshop to help repair fractured relationships, addiction education, weekly updates, and a family relapse prevention plan to stop future enabling behaviors.

Outpatient
In outpatient therapy, you’ll attend therapy sessions several times each week while living at home. This is ideal if you have a strong support system and a lower risk of relapse. Outpatient treatment offers flexibility to maintain work, school or family obligations.

Partial hospitalization programs provide comprehensive treatment in a structured setting during the day but allow you to return home at night. These programs offer a balance of inpatient and outpatient rehab and provide intensive support without full time residency.

Inpatient
Inpatient and residential programs provide round-the-clock medical and emotional support as you live at the treatment facility. This level of care may be recommended if you have severe addictions or mental health conditions since it removes outside distractions and allows you to focus solely on therapy.

MAT
Medication assisted treatment combines medication and counseling to manage withdrawal and reduce cravings for opioid and alcohol addiction. Medications may include methadone, buprenorphine or naltrexone. MAT is tailored to your needs so you can actively participate in your treatment journey.
