About Laurelwood | Inpatient Behavioral Health Facility
Laurelwood Inpatient Behavioral Health Facility is a nonprofit facility based in Gainesville, Georgia. They specialize in stabilization services for mental health and substance abuse. Whichever they move on to, the facility’s behavioral health specialists will help clients set achievable goals for their recovery and provide a personalized plan to help them achieve them. Amongst other things, a plan like this might involve weekly or bi-weekly therapy sessions or regular psychiatric sessions.
In terms of therapy styles and treatment techniques, many of the providers here use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Some of the staff are even trained in more specialized treatments like eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) or Gestalt Therapy. Family and couples counseling are also available.

Levels of Care

Inpatient
Inpatient and residential programs provide round-the-clock medical and emotional support as you live at the treatment facility. This level of care may be recommended if you have severe addictions or mental health conditions since it removes outside distractions and allows you to focus solely on therapy.

Outpatient
In outpatient therapy, you’ll attend therapy sessions several times each week while living at home. This is ideal if you have a strong support system and a lower risk of relapse. Outpatient treatment offers flexibility to maintain work, school or family obligations.
