About The Lennard Clinic – III

The Lennard Clinic – III has been operating since 1984 as a nonprofit addiction treatment facility in New Jersey. Now, they have several locations including this clinic in Elizabeth, New Jersey. They are accredited by The Joint Commission to provide outpatient medication assisted treatment (MAT) to adults in Union county.

MAT is a combination of medication and support services to address addiction to opioids. Clients get prescribed and/or administered medications to curb their cravings and prevent relapse or overdose. They also get counseling to address the root causes of addiction and learn healthy coping strategies.

The Lennard Clinic offers methadone or buprenorphine as options for MAT. During your intake process, clinicians will go over the options with you to help you make the decision that is right for you. During your initial screening, you’ll take a urine sample and discuss your current additions and reason for treatment. They will use the New Jersey Substance Abuse Monitoring System (NJSAMS) to prevent multiple enrollments.

This consultation will give your provider the information they need to create a treatment plan for you. This plan will account for your strengths, needs, preferences, skills and interests. Once admitted, you’ll get your first dose of methadone (or alternative).

You’ll come in daily for your medication until you become stabilized and are at a lower risk of relapse. Over time, you may earn take home medication privileges if you meet the criteria and pass drug screens.

Other services include case management, addiction education, relapse prevention, referrals to community resources, HIV testing and counseling and services for pregnancy and for women with dependent children. They also offer a DUI program.

This level of care may be recommended if you have severe addictions or mental health conditions since it removes outside distractions and allows you to focus solely on therapy.

  • Outpatient

In outpatient therapy, you’ll attend therapy sessions several times each week while living at home. This is ideal if you have a strong support system and a lower risk of relapse. Outpatient treatment offers flexibility to maintain work, school or family obligations.

  • PHP

Partial hospitalization programs provide comprehensive treatment in a structured setting during the day but allow you to return home at night. These programs offer a balance of inpatient and outpatient rehab and provide intensive support without full time residency.

Detox Service Setting

  • Inpatient Detox

Inpatient detox occurs in a dedicated treatment facility. You’ll live there around the clock and receive intensive medical support and supervision to help manage your withdrawal symptoms. It is suitable for individuals with moderate to severe addictions as it ensures a stable detox environment.

  • Outpatient Detox

Outpatient detox gives you access to medically supervised withdrawal services while still allowing you to live at home. You’ll attend a clinic for treatment and monitoring. This flexible option is suitable for those with mild to moderate withdrawal symptoms who have strong support systems.

  • MAT

Medication assisted treatment combines medication and counseling to manage withdrawal and reduce cravings for opioid and alcohol addiction. Medications may include methadone, buprenorphine or naltrexone. MAT is tailored to your needs so you can actively participate in your treatment journey.
