About Maryhaven Inc Inpatient/Outpatient for Youths/Adults
Based in Columbus, Ohio, Maryhaven is a nonprofit drug rehab center that provides addiction treatment for clients of all ages, genders, and walks of life. They offer medication assisted treatment (MAT) and residential and outpatient options.
They accept Medicaid, Medicare, self-pay, and financial aid applications for those eligible. Most major commercial insurance providers are also accepted.
Residential care is available here, providing a safe and structured environment for clients ready to commit to their recovery journey. This level of care is typically recommended for individuals who have already completed a detox program. Although detox isn’t available at this particular Maryhaven location, it’s offered at some of their other facilities. Clients in need of detox services can be referred as needed.
Residents on the inpatient program can expect to meet daily with a personal counselor. Group therapy and self-help groups are also provided, as well as addiction education sessions to help individuals understand their condition, and the tools and practices they can use to promote sobriety. Nutritional and medical interventions are also available, as well as medication assisted treatment, pet therapies, and recreational practices and therapies. This way, residents benefit from a rounded and holistic recovery program. Family support is recommended where appropriate.
This center also provides a wide range of expert care under its outpatient program including medical assessments for both mental health and substance abuse, as well as group and individual counseling. Therapy styles offered include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing (MI).
Medication assisted treatment is also offered in combination with therapy as an outpatient service, too. This is done using FDA-approved medications such as buprenorphine, methadone, or a monthly injection of Vivitrol. Education and recovery life skills are also offered for a more holistic recovery process.

Levels of Care
-
Inpatient
Inpatient and residential programs provide round-the-clock medical and emotional support as you live at the treatment facility. This level of care may be recommended if you have severe addictions or mental health conditions since it removes outside distractions and allows you to focus solely on therapy.
-
Outpatient
In outpatient therapy, you’ll attend therapy sessions several times each week while living at home. This is ideal if you have a strong support system and a lower risk of relapse. Outpatient treatment offers flexibility to maintain work, school or family obligations.
Detox Service Setting
-
Outpatient Detox
Outpatient detox gives you access to medically supervised withdrawal services while still allowing you to live at home. You’ll attend a clinic for treatment and monitoring. This flexible option is suitable for those with mild to moderate withdrawal symptoms who have strong support systems.
-
Hospital Detox
Hospital detoxification allows you to withdraw from drugs or alcohol in a hospital setting. It’s ideal for people with severe withdrawal symptoms or complex medical needs. You’ll receive constant monitoring, emergency care if needed and FDA approved prescription medications.
-
Inpatient Detox
Inpatient detox occurs in a dedicated treatment facility. You’ll live there around the clock and receive intensive medical support and supervision to help manage your withdrawal symptoms. It is suitable for individuals with moderate to severe addictions as it ensures a stable detox environment.
-
MAT
Medication assisted treatment combines medication and counseling to manage withdrawal and reduce cravings for opioid and alcohol addiction. Medications may include methadone, buprenorphine or naltrexone. MAT is tailored to your needs so you can actively participate in your treatment journey.
