About Terros Health Maverick House
Terros Health’s Maverick House is a residential treatment center with 29 beds for men and women dealing with substance use disorders in the Phoenix suburb of Glendale, Arizona. They’re situated near the intersection of 51st Avenue and Bethany Home Road just 1.5 miles south of Grand Avenue and four miles west of Interstate 17 with a direct route to downtown Phoenix. The area is surrounded by retail shops as well as natural attractions like Sahuaro Ranch Park and Camelback Ranch. Valley Metro Bus Route 51 has stops nearby. The facility even assists with transportation.
Maverick Meets MAT
Maverick House offers a conducive and supportive setting where you can heal with the support of peers and around-the-clock guidance from compassionate onsite staff. The facility is fully equipped to enhance comfort and includes a shared room, living area, and kitchen. There’s also a private bedroom for residents with special medical needs. Residents enjoy a balanced meal three times daily prepared by an expert nutritionist.
You’ll participate in at least one hour of therapy weekly alongside eight hours of therapeutic activities daily. This encompasses group counseling as well as individual sessions with your assigned counselor. You’ll attend daily 12 Steps recovery meetings of AA/NA to build or strengthen your support network. Medication assisted treatment (MAT) is integrated into your tailored as relevant to your healing journey. There’s also an opportunity for daily recreation and exercise so that you can have fun in recovery.
Your dedicated case manager helps with referrals and appointments for psychiatric care, even MAT providers. They may coordinate with the Department of Child Safety and Arizona Families FIRST to facilitate children’s visitation. They can also assist with telehealth appointments and collaborate with probation and parole agencies when necessary.
The program typically lasts between 24 to 25 days depending on need. The staff will guide you towards the next step in your recovery journey via tailored discharge planning. This may involve referrals to other recovery services within Terros Health network like their co-occurring treatment programs or Maverick Living housing for men.

Women's programs offer a safe and supportive space to focus on gender specific issues such as trauma, family roles and mental health conditions. Therapists tailor the sessions to address women's needs and foster empowerment in a healing and nurturing environment.

Young Adult (18 - 25)
Young adult programs are designed for individuals who are transitioning into adulthood. Topics of discussion typically include identity, independence and peer relationships. Providers may also offer life skills training and career support.
