About Mens Addiction Treatment Center (MATC)
The Inpatient medical unit provides safe withdrawal from alcohol and other drugs for men. The treatment team is physician-directed with 24-hour nursing care, licensed counselors, and case managers. Treatment includes individual and group counseling, family support and education, and aftercare planning. Clients on methadone maintenance may detox from other addiction drugs while continuing methadone therapy. Patients also attend daily in-house commitment (AA/NA) groups.
Clinical Stabilization Services is a 24-hour rehabilitation program that incorporates individual and group counseling, 12-Step education, and other psycho-education groups, lectures, and opioid overdose prevention workshops focusing on relapse prevention and coping skills. An enhanced treatment plan is developed with active participation from the treatment team and client. Family participation is encouraged. Length of stay is based on clients’ clinical needs. Clients reside in Serenity Inn. They also attend daily in-house commitment (AA/NA) groups.
The transitional program provides substance abuse treatment to men admitted to MATC. The program bridges the gap between detoxification and/or step-down services (CSS) and residential rehabilitation (halfway house or sober house placement). It provides short-term residency, further stabilization after detox, next-step case management, and safe, sober placement.
Case management services include service planning, goal development, and family unification. Referrals will be facilitated for residents requiring physical and mental health care, assistance with legal issues, sober housing, residential treatment, and vocational and educational needs. Residents attend psycho-educational groups and lectures that focus on topics like relapse prevention, relationships, HIV awareness, domestic violence, nutrition, self-help, men’s and women’s recovery issues, and other topics related to developing a lifestyle that is conducive to continued recovery. Residents also attend daily in-house commitment (AA/NA) groups.

Levels of Care
-
Inpatient
Inpatient and residential programs provide round-the-clock medical and emotional support as you live at the treatment facility. This level of care may be recommended if you have severe addictions or mental health conditions since it removes outside distractions and allows you to focus solely on therapy.
-
Outpatient
In outpatient therapy, you’ll attend therapy sessions several times each week while living at home. This is ideal if you have a strong support system and a lower risk of relapse. Outpatient treatment offers flexibility to maintain work, school or family obligations.
Detox Service Setting
-
Inpatient Detox
Inpatient detox occurs in a dedicated treatment facility. You’ll live there around the clock and receive intensive medical support and supervision to help manage your withdrawal symptoms. It is suitable for individuals with moderate to severe addictions as it ensures a stable detox environment.
-
Outpatient Detox
Outpatient detox gives you access to medically supervised withdrawal services while still allowing you to live at home. You’ll attend a clinic for treatment and monitoring. This flexible option is suitable for those with mild to moderate withdrawal symptoms who have strong support systems.
