About Michiana Behavioral Health Center
Michiana Behavioral Health is in a secluded corner of Plymouth, Indiana. They work with adults, children and teens who need behavioral health treatment. They offer various substance abuse programs for people struggling with addiction. Clients can get a free, confidential assessment and are available 24/7 to take your call.
They have an inpatient detox program for alcohol, drugs and opioids. This program is staffed by a team of registered nurses, therapists and psychiatrists. They offer various therapeutic techniques including dialectic behavioral therapy. They also have a family program that helps your loved ones understand addiction as a disease and other mental health issues.
They also treat people with dual diagnosis for mental health conditions. Their detox program will give clients oral medication to treat uncomfortable detox symptoms.
First of all, clients will get an assessment to identify underlying mental health issues. During your stay you’ll have daily programming that includes group therapy and a daily meeting with a psychiatrist. They have onsite AA meetings to provide social support as well as educational groups and group therapy for peer learning and encouragement.
During detox, clients will be in a locked, secure facility and get access to 24-hour nursing. Michiana Behavioral Health is licensed to provide Suboxone.
I like that they will connect you to the right aftercare sources based on your needs. They also provide outpatient therapy and medication management to help you transition to life back in the real world.
Michiana Behavioral Health Center is accredited by The Joint Commission. They are a preferred provider for most commercial health insurance plans and accept Medicare, Managed Medicaid (Indiana), HIP (Healthy Indiana Plan), and TRICARE.

Levels of Care
-
Inpatient
Inpatient and residential programs provide round-the-clock medical and emotional support as you live at the treatment facility. This level of care may be recommended if you have severe addictions or mental health conditions since it removes outside distractions and allows you to focus solely on therapy.
-
Outpatient
In outpatient therapy, you’ll attend therapy sessions several times each week while living at home. This is ideal if you have a strong support system and a lower risk of relapse. Outpatient treatment offers flexibility to maintain work, school or family obligations.
Detox Service Setting
-
Inpatient Detox
Inpatient detox occurs in a dedicated treatment facility. You’ll live there around the clock and receive intensive medical support and supervision to help manage your withdrawal symptoms. It is suitable for individuals with moderate to severe addictions as it ensures a stable detox environment.
-
Outpatient Detox
Outpatient detox gives you access to medically supervised withdrawal services while still allowing you to live at home. You’ll attend a clinic for treatment and monitoring. This flexible option is suitable for those with mild to moderate withdrawal symptoms who have strong support systems.
-
MAT
Medication assisted treatment combines medication and counseling to manage withdrawal and reduce cravings for opioid and alcohol addiction. Medications may include methadone, buprenorphine or naltrexone. MAT is tailored to your needs so you can actively participate in your treatment journey.
