About Mountain Crest Poudre Valley Health Systems
UCHealth Mountain Crest Behavioral Health Center, located in Fort Collins, Colorado helps adults and adolescents 13 to 17 with mental health and substance abuse issues. They offer inpatient medical detox, an intensive outpatient program, support groups and an outpatient clinic for medication management and therapy.
Inpatient medical detox allows individuals to safely withdraw from substances in a safe and secure setting. Patients have access to medical services and treatments and around the clock care. Medical professionals may administer medications to help minimize a patient’s discomfort during detox and increase safety.
Methadone works by decreasing cravings for opioids and lessens opioid withdrawal symptoms. Anticonvulsant drugs may be prescribed to help prevent seizures and medication to manage anxiety may also be used. The goal of medical detox is to stabilize patients so that they can continue their recovery in further treatment such as an IOP.
IOP allows clients to live at home while they receive treatment. Generally, IOP requires up to 18 hours a week. Individual, group, and family counseling as well relapse prevention, 12-step programs, and case management may be part of treatment depending on the needs of the individual.
Mountain Crest accepts most insurance companies including Medicare. The center also accepts fee for service and, if necessary, works with uninsured clients to develop a payment schedule. Contact your insurance provider to verify coverage as out of network benefits may vary.
