About Mountain Peak Recovery
Mountain Peak Recovery was a holistic detox facility in Spanish Fork, Utah. They’re permanently closed now but they offered outpatient and inpatient detox as well as medication assisted treatment for adults. Their facility focused on overall health and wellness and had a meditation room, yoga studio, gym, and access to hiking trails.
Inpatient detox allowed individuals to withdraw from drugs and alcohol in a secure, comfortable environment away from triggers. Patients had access to medical care and support around the clock as they detoxed. Medications may have been administered to ease cravings and discomfort.
Outpatient, or ambulatory, detox provided the same compassionate care but enables patients to live at home. They attend the facility for daily treatment for a few hours and then returned to their routines. This method was best for those with a supportive environment.
The aim of detox was to stabilize patients and carry them through withdrawal so that they could continue their journey to sobriety in further treatment.
MAT involved the use of FDA-approved medications such as buprenorphine to help treat substance abuse disorders. In conjunction with behavioral therapies, this treatment option helped clients achieve long-term recovery. Mountain Peak Recovery accepted private pay and private insurance.
