About Narconon Louisiana New Life Retreat
Located in Denham Springs, Louisiana, Narconon Louisiana New Life Retreat is a drug rehabilitation facility that offers detox services. A unique thing about this facility is that it follows an evidence based treatment developed by author L. Ron Hubbard.
The New Life Detoxification Approach
In contrast to other detox facilities, medication is not used during the process of withdrawal. Instead, staff members will treat you through exercise, a dry heat sauna, nutrition and hydration.
The treatment is based on research that discovered toxic substances can remain in one’s body years after using it. The facilities use exercise and a dry heat sauna to get clients to sweat out the drug residue that’s in their cells and tissues. The primary exercise you’ll be doing is running on a treadmill.
Vitamins to Promote Healing
Rather than using medication, the staff will give you a precise dose of vitamins and supplements to replace the nutrients you lost during drug use. The dosage you receive is based on your specific health needs and is continually monitored as you make progress.
Life Skills Development for Long Term Sobriety
Narconon New Life Retreat provides coursework on life skills that can help support your long term recovery. The topics of focus include overcoming ups and downs, personal values and changing conditions in life.

Levels of Care
-
Inpatient
Inpatient and residential programs provide round-the-clock medical and emotional support as you live at the treatment facility. This level of care may be recommended if you have severe addictions or mental health conditions since it removes outside distractions and allows you to focus solely on therapy.
-
Outpatient
In outpatient therapy, you’ll attend therapy sessions several times each week while living at home. This is ideal if you have a strong support system and a lower risk of relapse. Outpatient treatment offers flexibility to maintain work, school or family obligations.
-
Dual Diagnosis
Dual diagnosis programs address substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions simultaneously. This integrated approach to care improves the likelihood of long term recovery and stability by addressing the root causes of addiction.
-
Aftercare
Aftercare programs provide ongoing support after you complete a rehab program. They may include several components to help you maintain sobriety including therapy, community support groups and relapse prevention strategies. This gives you a network of resources as you reintegrate into your daily life.
