About NET Centers, Kirkwood Recovery Center
Located in Wilmington, Delaware is the Kirkwood Recovery Center. This center provides comprehensive inpatient care to help individuals who need support for a substance abuse disorder.
Through the NET Centers network, you can also get connected services offered within this network. This includes outpatient care, family focused programs, and programs that serve juvenile offenders as well as those who are in the criminal justice system or have been ordered at home detention.
Impatient Treatment
The Kirkwood Recovery Center has made a lasting impact throughout Northern Delaware. It is the only inpatient clinically managed, medically monitored detox program in the region. They offer around the clock care so your body can safely wean off of your chemical dependency and focus on addiction treatment.
As you move through the inpatient program, you also have the support of peer specialists and clinical staff. There are different activities that take place here so you can begin engaging in positive interactions with your peers as you work toward a sober future.
Comprehensive Care for Addiction Recovery
There are several services here that can help you work through your addiction struggles. Medication assisted treatment (MAT) is available for those who have a chemical or opioid dependency.
This is offered through the program NET Steps. Methadone is the primary FDA approved medication available for MAT here, but there are other medications that may be more appropriate for your recovery. You’ll work with the healthcare team here and they’ll help determine what works best for you.
Community Focused Support
There is a strong emphasis on providing services that not only improve your needs as an individual but promote a stronger, healthier community. This is done through the many community based services and partnerships that are available through NET Centers.
These partnerships help you get connected to more specialized services such as residential treatment through the Lehigh Recovery Center or comprehensive assessments and referrals through Access Point.
There are also partnerships with DHS where families are supported through parenting classes and other supports. These services extend beyond northern Delaware and into Pennsylvania as well.

-
Inpatient
Inpatient and residential programs provide round-the-clock medical and emotional support as you live at the treatment facility. This level of care may be recommended if you have severe addictions or mental health conditions since it removes outside distractions and allows you to focus solely on therapy.
Detox Service Setting
-
Outpatient Detox
Outpatient detox gives you access to medically supervised withdrawal services while still allowing you to live at home. You’ll attend a clinic for treatment and monitoring. This flexible option is suitable for those with mild to moderate withdrawal symptoms who have strong support systems.
-
MAT
Medication assisted treatment combines medication and counseling to manage withdrawal and reduce cravings for opioid and alcohol addiction. Medications may include methadone, buprenorphine or naltrexone. MAT is tailored to your needs so you can actively participate in your treatment journey.
-
Inpatient Detox
Inpatient detox occurs in a dedicated treatment facility. You’ll live there around the clock and receive intensive medical support and supervision to help manage your withdrawal symptoms. It is suitable for individuals with moderate to severe addictions as it ensures a stable detox environment.
