About Olympia House
Olympia House is a holistic drug and alcohol rehab for adults in Petaluma, California. They have over 140 acres, and their facility houses 32 beds. Their program treats you as a whole person by paying attention to your spiritual, emotional, physical and psychological needs. You can live onsite for treatment, which usually lasts about 28 days, or you can join the part time program.
When it comes to withdrawal, you can opt for a nonmedical detox or use medication to help you. Either way, they‘ll monitor you closely and support you every step of the way. Those with opiate addictions are usually treated with medication as it is safer.
Along with proven therapy methods, they offer a life story group. Together with your peers, you’ll explore your feelings from the past and how you feel now. This allows you to change your story going forward with the support of others in the group.
Their experiential therapy groups include equine, art and music therapy. You can also choose unusual alternatives. Do you enjoy movies? There’s a cinema group for you. They also have an affirmation group and a multi-family group. If you love the outdoors, they offer gardening courses or you can work with farm animals.
What makes this program different is their focus on getting to really know you. Apart from your history of substance use, you’ll have multiple assessments that give them insight into your hopes, needs and concerns. They focus on firing up your sense of purpose and helping you achieve your personal goals.
They respect diversity when it comes to sexual orientation and gender identity. They treat all people as equals regardless of culture, socioeconomic standing, religious background or educational achievements.
