About Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital Bellefonte Behavioral Health Center
Our behavioral health programs include those for adult psychiatry, senior psychiatric services, and chemical dependency treatment. Each program encourages the individual and their loved ones to be involved in the design of their personal plan of care. Patients work with the interdisciplinary team to formulate achievable treatment goals that will produce positive clinical outcomes. Stays on the unit are short-term with the goal of stabilizing individuals in crisis.
Our chemical dependency program is designed to treat adults ages 18 and older who are struggling with alcohol and substance abuse. The inpatient substance abuse program provides detoxification and medical stabilization to effectively treat the symptoms associated with withdrawal. Services include medication assisted recovery, 12-step facilitation, relapse prevention planning, group and individual therapy, family therapy and post-hospitalization planning. In addition to inpatient services, the center offers outpatient services to adults whose substance dependence symptoms are obstructing their abilities but do not require the intensity of hospitalization. Sessions are led by licensed clinical therapists and take place at the center.
Support groups that are offered at the Bellefonte Behavioral Health Center include Alcoholics Anonymous, Al-Anon and Narcotic’s Anonymous.
