About Palmetto Addiction Recovery Center
Located in Rayville, Louisiana, Palmetto Addiction Recovery Center is a substance use disorder treatment center. They provide medical detox, residential and outpatient treatment and a relapse prevention program for teens, adults and military personnel or veterans. They also treat those with a dual diagnosis.
Medical detox includes around the clock care from a team of experienced doctors and nurse practitioners. Once a patient is admitted, they are given a thorough health evaluation and set up with a treatment plan. While patients withdraw from drugs or alcohol they are carefully monitored to prevent dehydration, seizures and other health risks. An on-site physician may prescribe medications to help with withdrawal if needed.
Once all traces of the substances are eliminated, patients can transition to another recovery program such as residential or outpatient treatment. This treatment generally lasts for three to 10 days depending on the patient.
Outpatient detox is suited for clients who have a safe and supportive residence to go through withdrawal and who have a low risk for health concerns during this process. Clients will receive treatment during the day and return home afterward.
Palmetto focuses on fitness and nutrition as well as social skills. During treatment, clients will attend a daily 12-step meeting and participate in individual, group and family counseling.
Palmetto boasts a private setting with various amenities such as a basketball court and recreation room.
They accept private pay, military insurance and private health insurance. Contact your provider to verify coverage as out of network benefits can vary.

Outpatient
In outpatient therapy, you’ll attend therapy sessions several times each week while living at home. This is ideal if you have a strong support system and a lower risk of relapse. Outpatient treatment offers flexibility to maintain work, school or family obligations.
-
Dual Diagnosis
Dual diagnosis programs address substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions simultaneously. This integrated approach to care improves the likelihood of long term recovery and stability by addressing the root causes of addiction.
