Parkview Behavioral Health Institute’s Park Center provides personalized inpatient and outpatient support for kids, teens and adults dealing with mental health issues or substance misuse. They’re located in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Youth services here include outpatient programs, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), and telehealth services for mental health and substance abuse. These may feature community services, home-based services, an in-school skills program, wrap-around services, and specialized adolescent dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT).
The outpatient programs for teens allow them to benefit from 1:1 education and support, and develop self-awareness and understanding of their emotions, needs, and interpersonal skills. They can build up themselves up to demonstrate grace and compassion as well as practical problem-solving skills.
Clients may also have the opportunity to take part in art therapy, exercise, recreational therapy and other movement-based activities, for a rounded, holistic recovery experience.
The center is also northeast Indiana’s only inpatient mental health service provider, with residential treatment available to kids aged 5-11 years, and teens aged 12-18. Age-appropriate care and support is provided to residents in the form of clinical services, recreational activities, and more.
IOPs are also available to teens and adults, with adolescent programming starting from age 12, and adult programming from 18 years and older. IOPs for children aged 5-11 years are also available over the summer months.
IOPs for substance abuse typically involve medication assisted treatment (MAT) where necessary, as well as educational sessions, therapy, and aftercare planning. Adults may be eligible for prescribed medications to help them with withdrawal and cravings.
They accept private health insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, ACA, or HIP. Uninsured individuals receive a 30% discount on their medical, and financial assistance is also available to those eligible.
Levels of Care
-
Inpatient
Inpatient and residential programs provide round-the-clock medical and emotional support as you live at the treatment facility. This level of care may be recommended if you have severe addictions or mental health conditions since it removes outside distractions and allows you to focus solely on therapy.
-
Outpatient
In outpatient therapy, you’ll attend therapy sessions several times each week while living at home. This is ideal if you have a strong support system and a lower risk of relapse. Outpatient treatment offers flexibility to maintain work, school or family obligations.
-
Dual Diagnosis
Dual diagnosis programs address substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions simultaneously. This integrated approach to care improves the likelihood of long term recovery and stability by addressing the root causes of addiction.
Detox Service Setting
-
Hospital Detox
Hospital detoxification allows you to withdraw from drugs or alcohol in a hospital setting. It’s ideal for people with severe withdrawal symptoms or complex medical needs. You’ll receive constant monitoring, emergency care if needed and FDA approved prescription medications.
-
Outpatient Detox
Outpatient detox gives you access to medically supervised withdrawal services while still allowing you to live at home. You’ll attend a clinic for treatment and monitoring. This flexible option is suitable for those with mild to moderate withdrawal symptoms who have strong support systems.
-
MAT
Medication assisted treatment combines medication and counseling to manage withdrawal and reduce cravings for opioid and alcohol addiction. Medications may include methadone, buprenorphine or naltrexone. MAT is tailored to your needs so you can actively participate in your treatment journey.
