About Parkridge Valley Adult & Senior Campus
Parkridge Valley Adult and Senior Campus is a mental health and addiction treatment center in a quiet part of Chattanooga, Tennessee. With such a strong mental health program, they can be especially helpful if you have a co-occurring mental illness but they can also treat any adult who is struggling with addiction.
This facility has inpatient and outpatient treatment programs. All of their treatment is personalized to you and what you need for recovery so that can include detox care to keep you as comfortable as possible through your withdrawal.
Along with detox treatment, they have well rounded treatment programs to help you address and resolve the issues that have impacted your addiction and reach a point of wellness and stability. Your program will probably include group therapy and activity therapy and potentially medication management as needed.
They’ll help with discharge planning too to make sure you have a plan for safety and sobriety when you finish the program. If you’re looking for things to do to unwind, the center is not too far from Trampoline Park and Standafer Gap Marsh. You can exercise and clear your mind as you get into shape.
What stands out to me most about this rehab and detox center though is that they have specialized programs for seniors. This isn’t particularly common and seniors can experience addiction and recovery in different ways than younger adults so that specialty can be a great benefit.
The feedback for this facility varies a lot. Some clients have had frustrating experiences with the admission process or other aspects of the care here while others say that every staff member was experienced and compassionate and that they saw great improvements in their treatment here.

Levels of Care
-
Inpatient
Inpatient and residential programs provide round-the-clock medical and emotional support as you live at the treatment facility. This level of care may be recommended if you have severe addictions or mental health conditions since it removes outside distractions and allows you to focus solely on therapy.
-
Outpatient
In outpatient therapy, you’ll attend therapy sessions several times each week while living at home. This is ideal if you have a strong support system and a lower risk of relapse. Outpatient treatment offers flexibility to maintain work, school or family obligations.
-
Aftercare
Aftercare programs provide ongoing support after you complete a rehab program. They may include several components to help you maintain sobriety including therapy, community support groups and relapse prevention strategies. This gives you a network of resources as you reintegrate into your daily life.
Detox Service Setting
-
Hospital Detox
Hospital detoxification allows you to withdraw from drugs or alcohol in a hospital setting. It’s ideal for people with severe withdrawal symptoms or complex medical needs. You’ll receive constant monitoring, emergency care if needed and FDA approved prescription medications.
Programs
-
Adult (18+)
Adult programs address the substance use and life challenges specific to adults. Therapists can deliver sessions in individual, group and family settings. Services often include job support and life skills training in a structured environment.
-
Young Adult (18 - 25)
Young adult programs are designed for individuals who are transitioning into adulthood. Topics of discussion typically include identity, independence and peer relationships. Providers may also offer life skills training and career support.

Women's programs offer a safe and supportive space to focus on gender specific issues such as trauma, family roles and mental health conditions. Therapists tailor the sessions to address women's needs and foster empowerment in a healing and nurturing environment.
