About Parkside Psychiatric Hospital & Clinic
Based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Parkside Psychiatric Hospital and Clinic offers detox services and addiction treatment for adolescents and adults regardless of gender or background. In terms of payment, they accept Medicare, Medicaid and a range of other commercial health providers. Financial assistance is also available to those eligible.
Substance abuse support here is offered through either inpatient or intensive outpatient programming (IOP), depending on clients’ needs. Personalized treatment plans and relapse prevention plans are developed for each individual to help them develop an awareness of their individual goals and challenges as they work through their difficulties in treatment.
Younger clients receive addiction education sessions to help them better understand their unhealthy coping mechanisms and the science behind addiction. Medications may be used as needed in both the inpatient and outpatient programs as a support to help clients manage particularly difficult withdrawal symptoms or cravings.
Inpatient care begins with a diagnostic evaluation to establish the severity of clients’ addiction, and how best to treat them based on their unique needs. What often follows is medical detox to help clients get clean before they get stuck into the program.
As with the rest of the program, medication may be prescribed during this phase to help lessen notoriously uncomfortable symptoms. Once clean, participants will take part in individual, group, and family therapies, with access to case management services and discharge planning. Those with dual diagnoses n also receive the care they need here. The intensive outpatient program features much of the same, as well as medication management services.

Levels of Care

Inpatient
Inpatient and residential programs provide round-the-clock medical and emotional support as you live at the treatment facility. This level of care may be recommended if you have severe addictions or mental health conditions since it removes outside distractions and allows you to focus solely on therapy.

Outpatient
In outpatient therapy, you’ll attend therapy sessions several times each week while living at home. This is ideal if you have a strong support system and a lower risk of relapse. Outpatient treatment offers flexibility to maintain work, school or family obligations.

Hospital Detox
Hospital detoxification allows you to withdraw from drugs or alcohol in a hospital setting. It’s ideal for people with severe withdrawal symptoms or complex medical needs. You’ll receive constant monitoring, emergency care if needed and FDA approved prescription medications.

Inpatient Detox
Inpatient detox occurs in a dedicated treatment facility. You’ll live there around the clock and receive intensive medical support and supervision to help manage your withdrawal symptoms. It is suitable for individuals with moderate to severe addictions as it ensures a stable detox environment.

Outpatient Detox
Outpatient detox gives you access to medically supervised withdrawal services while still allowing you to live at home. You’ll attend a clinic for treatment and monitoring. This flexible option is suitable for those with mild to moderate withdrawal symptoms who have strong support systems.

Adult programs address the substance use and life challenges specific to adults. Therapists can deliver sessions in individual, group and family settings. Services often include job support and life skills training in a structured environment.
