The center provides medical ambulatory detox, medication-assisted treatment, inpatient (IP) and outpatient programs (OP), and aftercare for veterans and their families. The addiction recovery unit offers a structured environment for clients to control their withdrawal and recovery process. Clients also participate in group and individual cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviews, and motivational enhancement therapy to address co-occurring mental and behavioral health disorders. While only ambulatory detox is offered, outside lodging and meals are available. Parking is free, and limited transportation is available.
After detox, clients may transition into an inpatient or outpatient program for long-term recovery. The medical center may make referrals to other VA branches or to outside treatment centers and substance abuse programs.
