Port Health Services medical detox services help clients withdraw from opioids, alcohol and other drugs while under professional supervision. Providers can administer FDA-approved addiction medications, including methadone and buprenorphine, to ease the physical effects of withdrawal, minimize cravings and reduce relapse risk. This medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is provided in conjunction with other, adjunct services to support each client’s recovery including. These services include individual and group therapy, psycho-educational programs, life skills training, 12 Step facilitation, medication management, recreational therapy and evidence-based therapies including motivational enhancement therapy (MET).
Aftercare services include discharge planning to ensure clients have access to the resources they need for long-term recovery. Providers may refer clients to outside resources if additional services are required.
Port Health Services is in-network with BlueCross/BlueShield and also accepts Medicare and Medicaid. They may also work with other major insurance providers, including Aetna, Anthem, United Healthcare and Humana. Verify coverage with your individual provider as out of network benefits can vary.
